Alessandra is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Health and Sport, Victoria University. As a clinical exercise physiologist, she is passionate about the concept of “Exercise is Medicine” in a range of different diseases (i.e., neurodegenerative, cancer, myopathies, etc.).
Currently, her main interest is to understand the role of carefully prescribed exercise as a therapy to counteract muscle disuse and improve muscle health, physical function and quality of life in individuals with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
