The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) has awarded a Gold Star accreditation to the The Australian Institute for Musculoskeletal Science (AIMSS) Fracture Care and Prevention Program at Western Health (Sunshine, Footscray and Williamstown Hospitals).

AIMSS runs in collaboration with the aged care, endocrinology, allied health, anaesthesia, emergency and orthopaedics units at Western Health and are a leading global organisation in the field.

The IOF has named the program a Best Care provider to patients with falls and fractures.

AIMSS’ location on the IOF’s global Capture the Fracture Map of Best Practice has been updated to show a gold star for Western Health to recognise this significant achievement.
